    Eggnog Punch

I recently made this super yummy eggnog punch for a family gathering and shared a timelapse of it on my IG. Since everyone ended up wanting the recipe, I’m sharing it below! What you’ll need: 2-liters of ginger ale chilled 1 carton of eggnog 8 scoops of vanilla ice cream gold sprinkles (optional but festive!) Instructions: Add all ingredients together in a large bowl. I used a glass bowl because I think the colors of the beverage are pretty! Then, top it with gold sprinkles (you can use any sprinkles you already have). Serve and enjoy! This was a hit among the family. It’s such an easy recipe that only requires three…

    Gingerbread House Fun

Can you believe Christmas is only one week away?! Last weekend we hosted my family’s Christmas on the Russell side, so I decided to get each couple and each of the kids a gingerbread house to decorate! I bought the prebuilt ones which you can find HERE. In my opinion, the prebuilt houses are much more fun since you don’t have to spend the time trying to make the walls stick together.. you can just get straight to the fun part. The gingerbread house kit comes with candy to decorate, but I’m extra so I grabbed more while I was at the store. I got red twists, marshmellows, shredded coconut,…

    Lavender Sugar Scrub

Looking for a last minute gift idea that doesn’t cost much money? SO WAS I! I was brainstorming for a quick gift idea that would make someone feel pampered. Personally I love to use a nice smelling scrub in the shower. Especially if I’m shaving my legs! So I grabbed some little glass jars and made this quick gift!  Truth be told – I had all but one of these items at my house already. You probably have everything you need for this also! (TIP – many times you can find glass Ball jars at thrift stores!)  For this project I wanted all the jars to match!  What You’ll Need:…

    Eggnog Recipe

Eggnog is a seasonal favorite in our home. I’ve loved eggnog ever since I was a little girl. My parents bought the “ready made from the store kind” for me growing up. It’s good but nothing beats a cold cup of good ol’ homemade eggnog. Once you have a sip of homemade eggnog, you’ll never want to buy it from the store again! We found all the ingredients for our eggnog at WALMART! One stop at Walmart and you’ll have everything you need for a nice Christmas morning breakfast of muffins and eggnog! From holiday hosting and entertaining to family meals and Christmas traditions, Walmart has everything you will ever need…

    Wallpaper in The Guest Room

Wallpaper can do wonders to a room. Seriously, I’m amazed by this gold speckled peel and stick wallpaper. I wanted to add some character to our guest bedroom by adding a little wallpaper to a wall. This DIY took an ordinary room and made it into a funky glamorous space!  It took me about two hours to do this wall. The more I did it, the faster I got. It really started speeding up in the end!  What I did: The wallpaper I used is a peel and stick. I cut it to size leaving a little room on the ends. Then peeled off the backing as I stuck it…

    DIY Pumpkin Painting

One of my favorite times of the year is fall. The cooler weather, the pretty home decor, cozy blankets, warm fires, and of course….pumpkin painting! If you’ve never painted pumpkins before, you have to try it this year. It’s so much fun and they blend perfectly with any home decor you may have whether it’s autumn OR Halloween.  In order to paint the pumpkins, all I do is paint them once and then again adding flour to the paint – the flour will help the paint “stick” to the pumpkins so you don’t have to worry about paint streaks or fading. I personally LOVE the color bone by Clark and Kensing which…

    Pantry Organization

Hi friends! When it comes to organizing, Walmart has some amazing products and essentials. We recently added a Butler’s pantry to our home since we previously had no pantry at all! I was so excited about this new addition to our home because we needed a functional way to store food once the baby came. Below I’m sharing a few pantry essentials from Walmart that I’ve been using for organizational purposes and have loved. My tips are clear & spinning. Let me explain.. I prefer clear containers because they look clean and you can see what you have with a quick glimpse. Clear containers are also so much prettier than…
