5 Tips Keep Fresh Cut Flowers Thriving

Valentine’s Day is LOVE day, but it’s also flower day in my book! I’m not a florist, but my mom was before I was born so I’ve learned a lot about florals from her. She taught me a few tips and tricks I wanted to share. Flowers are such a sweet gesture. I love receiving them personally. I don’t know about you but I want to keep my fresh flowers alive for as long as possible! These tips will help you make the most of your gorgeous arrangement. First things first! TRIM! Trim each stem about 3/4 of an inch at an angle. Then, simply place them in water! Remember, they’re…

    Lavender Sugar Scrub

Looking for a last minute gift idea that doesn’t cost much money? SO WAS I! I was brainstorming for a quick gift idea that would make someone feel pampered. Personally I love to use a nice smelling scrub in the shower. Especially if I’m shaving my legs! So I grabbed some little glass jars and made this quick gift!  Truth be told – I had all but one of these items at my house already. You probably have everything you need for this also! (TIP – many times you can find glass Ball jars at thrift stores!)  For this project I wanted all the jars to match!  What You’ll Need:…

    Gardening with Walmart+

Can we just talk about how convenient Walmart+ is?! I seriously use it all the time for gardening items since we spend a good bit of time in our garden each week. We buy so many of our garden and household items from Walmart+. That being said, whenever I need something I just pull up the app and order it. I know it will be here by the end of the week which is something I love about Walmart+. One of the main benefits is their free shipping with no order minimum required (excludes freight & Marketplace items). If you haven’t heard about the Walmart+ membership, you are going to thank me! Though the…

    Our Garden

2020 has been a challenging year for so many. But I can say one good thing came out of it! Our sweet garden. This is my first real garden. Last year, I started with some herbs and hydrangeas and that really built my confidence. This year I went with a full on vegetable garden and lots of flowers. Aaron built us some raised beds (Click HERE to see how you can build some raised beds too!) We had lots of time at home and I had a new hobby and he had a design for the whole space.  In the early days of planning our garden, I asked Aaron “where…
