Painted Kitchen Cabinet
I had my brand new classic white kitchen cabinets painted. Call me crazy for painting brand new cabinets, but I LOVE them painted! Last year we remodeled our over 100 year old home. There were so many decisions to be made and a tight timeline so I picked a safe option. Classic white. Over the past twelve months I’ve tried to add warmth to our kitchen in several ways. Finally, I decided to do the CRAZY and paint the brand. new. cabinets. This was not a DIY.. Let me be clear, this was not a DIY for us. I read lots of reviews until I found a local painter with…

Toilet Glam Up
Bear with me… glamming up your toilet actually works! Yep, you can totally make a toilet more look better without replacing it! It’s all about the little details. If the lid looks old or yellow, change it out! I did this with only two screws, and it’s so easy! This is the one we used. You can also change out the handle. I have gold finishes throughout this house, so I ordered a gold handle on Amazon and installed it myself. These are actually pretty easy to install. Don’t be grossed out, the water in the tank is CLEAN! Next, I put rub n buff on the supply pipe. Rub n buff is…

Peel & Stick Tile
I’ll start by saying this was my husband’s idea! He said, “we should order some peel and stick tile and do a backsplash for our tub/shower.” Of course I loved that idea!! I jumped online and ordered this tile . No doubt, it definitely is BEAUTIFUL! However, my husband pictured using 12″x12″ vinyl tile. The tile I ordered is a few steps up from that! It looks and feels like a mosaic tile. It’s GORGEOUS stone-like peel and stick tile! But it’s a little more work than what my husband meant when he said peel and stick tile. Let’s be clear – 100% WORTH IT! The tile comes in sheets with a backing…

Add Texture to Any Wall Quick and Easy
Looking for a quick way to add amazing texture to a wall? Read this!! We took pole wrap from Home Depot (linked here) and nailed it to a wall in our small bathroom. This little bathroom is small but has so much potential! It’s the project I’m working on right now. So much in this space is white – walls, tub and white tiles. This 1 hour DIY really elevated this little bathroom! I’m already wanting to do this DIY again somewhere else in our home! It was a little long for our walls, so we trimmed a little off each panel so it would fit our wall. We used…

Valentine’s Day is LOVE day, but it’s also flower day in my book! I’m not a florist, but my mom was before I was born so I’ve learned a lot about florals from her. I don’t know about you but I want to keep my fresh flowers alive for as long as possible! These tips will help you make the most of your gorgeous arrangement. First things first! TRIM! Built-Ins Decor
These are the built-ins in our living room. I know some people really don’t enjoy decorating shelves. But me, well, I love it! For the most part I keep things very simple on our shelves. I have my favorite pieces that stay on these shelves season after season. Then a few times a year I’ll swap out a thing or two to keep them fresh and matching the season. For example, after Christmas decor came down, I added this gold lantern and flameless candles. Gold lantern linked here. This gives a warm glow for winter but it will be perfect through spring. I also recently added a textured heart wreath. Heart wreath linked…
