Add Texture to Any Wall Quick and Easy

Looking for a quick way to add amazing texture to a wall? Read this!! We took pole wrap from Home Depot (linked here) and nailed it to a wall in our small bathroom. This little bathroom is small but has so much potential! It’s the project I’m working on right now. So much in this space is white – walls, tub and white tiles. This 1 hour DIY really elevated this little bathroom! I’m already wanting to do this DIY again somewhere else in our home!   It was a little long for our walls, so we trimmed a little off each panel so it would fit our wall.  We used…

5 Tips Keep Fresh Cut Flowers Thriving

Valentine’s Day is LOVE day, but it’s also flower day in my book! I’m not a florist, but my mom was before I was born so I’ve learned a lot about florals from her. She taught me a few tips and tricks I wanted to share. Flowers are such a sweet gesture. I love receiving them personally. I don’t know about you but I want to keep my fresh flowers alive for as long as possible! These tips will help you make the most of your gorgeous arrangement. First things first! TRIM! Trim each stem about 3/4 of an inch at an angle. Then, simply place them in water! Remember, they’re…

    Built-Ins Decor

These are the built-ins in our living room. I know some people really don’t enjoy decorating shelves. But me, well, I love it! For the most part I keep things very simple on our shelves. I have my favorite pieces that stay on these shelves season after season. Then a few times a year I’ll swap out a thing or two to keep them fresh and matching the season.  For example, after Christmas decor came down, I added this gold lantern and flameless candles. Gold lantern linked here. This gives a warm glow for winter but it will be perfect through spring. I also recently added a textured heart wreath. Heart wreath linked…

    Retreat Green

So… I bought green paint! If you know me, you know this is very unlike me and my usual style. I naturally gravitate towards neutrals when it comes to our home (Remington’s room being my only exception). I used the color ‘Frostworks’ by Sherwin Williams in Remi’s room and his room is my favorite room in the house. This is what gave me a push to try green somewhere else! Before the holiday season, we started remodeling our laundry room. We only have a few more final touches to go before it’s finished – one being the cabinetry! This week I bought a cabinet and I’m painting it the color ‘Retreat’ Sherwin Williams.  Retreat is a…

    Office Space Glam up

A sure way to increase productivity is glamming up your office space. We have a small room we call “the office”. Currently, it’s a his and hers situation.  I have one side of the room and my husband has the other. So many people, like us, work from home these days and that change is welcomed by most. Lots of us have found small little nooks to call our “office” space in our home, and those little spaces can be so cute if we have the right set up! I gave my little desk space a GLAM UP in one afternoon. The change is amazing, and I’m so happy with…

    After Christmas

As much as I love decorating for Christmas in our home, I also love taking the decor down when Christmas is over. Taking down the tree, pulling down the garland, and sweeping my house… I love a fresh clean slate after Christmas. Below I’m sharing the steps I take perosnally when putting away my Christmas decor I cannot emphasize this one enough… Containers! I make sure I have plenty of large containers with lids to keep all of my precious Christmas trinkets safe during the off-season. Ideally, I love the clear containers so I can see what’s in them without having to open them back up. Before anything else, I start by taking down my Christmas…

    Fruitcake Balls

Let me start by saying this is a recipe my mom made ever Christmas Eve of the Eve. I have WONDERFUL memories of growing up being at home eating these the week of Christmas. With that being said, my mom doesn’t measure ingredients when she cooks. She simply throws it all together and it always turns out amazing! So I’m going to give the measurements I use. You can give or take. The goal is to have a consistence that you can shape into a ball coated in powdered sugar! This pair great with a warm cup of coffee! What You’ll Need: About 2 cups graham cracker crumbs About 2…
