Breakfast Nook Decor & Steps for Styling a Space
We finally decorated our breakfast nook, and I’ve been so excited to share it with you all! We designed this small yet charming room ourselves with dreamy picture windows and vaulted ceiling. One of my favorite things about the space is the sunlight that shines through, especially during the late afternoon and early evening. It’s the perfect spot to come together and eat! I’ve been excited to find the perfect artwork, so while on vacation, we stopped at a quaint antique shop in Mobile, AL and there I found the perfect pair of antique artwork for this space. From that moment on, it all came together! Below I’m listing the four steps I follow for decorating a space…

Painted Kitchen Cabinet
I had my brand new classic white kitchen cabinets painted. Call me crazy for painting brand new cabinets, but I LOVE them painted! Last year we remodeled our over 100 year old home. There were so many decisions to be made and a tight timeline so I picked a safe option. Classic white. Over the past twelve months I’ve tried to add warmth to our kitchen in several ways. Finally, I decided to do the CRAZY and paint the brand. new. cabinets. This was not a DIY.. Let me be clear, this was not a DIY for us. I read lots of reviews until I found a local painter with…

5 Tips Keep Fresh Cut Flowers Thriving
Valentine’s Day is LOVE day, but it’s also flower day in my book! I’m not a florist, but my mom was before I was born so I’ve learned a lot about florals from her. She taught me a few tips and tricks I wanted to share. Flowers are such a sweet gesture. I love receiving them personally. I don’t know about you but I want to keep my fresh flowers alive for as long as possible! These tips will help you make the most of your gorgeous arrangement. First things first! TRIM! After Christmas
As much as I love decorating for Christmas in our home, I also love taking the decor down when Christmas is over. Taking down the tree, pulling down the garland, and sweeping my house… I love a fresh clean slate after Christmas. Below I’m sharing the steps I take perosnally when putting away my Christmas decor I cannot emphasize this one enough… Containers! I make sure I have plenty of large containers with lids to keep all of my precious Christmas trinkets safe during the off-season. Ideally, I love the clear containers so I can see what’s in them without having to open them back up. Before anything else, I start by taking down my Christmas…

Fruitcake Balls
Let me start by saying this is a recipe my mom made ever Christmas Eve of the Eve. I have WONDERFUL memories of growing up being at home eating these the week of Christmas. With that being said, my mom doesn’t measure ingredients when she cooks. She simply throws it all together and it always turns out amazing! So I’m going to give the measurements I use. You can give or take. The goal is to have a consistence that you can shape into a ball coated in powdered sugar! This pair great with a warm cup of coffee! What You’ll Need: About 2 cups graham cracker crumbs About 2…

Wallpaper in The Guest Room
Wallpaper can do wonders to a room. Seriously, I’m amazed by this gold speckled peel and stick wallpaper. I wanted to add some character to our guest bedroom by adding a little wallpaper to a wall. This DIY took an ordinary room and made it into a funky glamorous space! It took me about two hours to do this wall. The more I did it, the faster I got. It really started speeding up in the end! What I did: The wallpaper I used is a peel and stick. I cut it to size leaving a little room on the ends. Then peeled off the backing as I stuck it…

DIY Pumpkin Painting
One of my favorite times of the year is fall. The cooler weather, the pretty home decor, cozy blankets, warm fires, and of course….pumpkin painting! If you’ve never painted pumpkins before, you have to try it this year. It’s so much fun and they blend perfectly with any home decor you may have whether it’s autumn OR Halloween. In order to paint the pumpkins, all I do is paint them once and then again adding flour to the paint – the flour will help the paint “stick” to the pumpkins so you don’t have to worry about paint streaks or fading. I personally LOVE the color bone by Clark and Kensing which…

Hi friends! When it comes to organizing, Walmart has some amazing products and essentials. We recently added a Butler’s pantry to our home since we previously had no pantry at all! Below I’m sharing a few pantry essentials from Walmart that I’ve been using for organizational purposes and have loved. My tips are clear & spinning. Let me explain.. I prefer clear containers because they look clean and you can see what you have with a quick glimpse. Clear containers are also so much prettier than…
