    Lavender Sugar Scrub

Looking for a last minute gift idea that doesn’t cost much money? SO WAS I! I was brainstorming for a quick gift idea that would make someone feel pampered. Personally I love to use a nice smelling scrub in the shower. Especially if I’m shaving my legs! So I grabbed some little glass jars and made this quick gift!  Truth be told – I had all but one of these items at my house already. You probably have everything you need for this also! (TIP – many times you can find glass Ball jars at thrift stores!)  For this project I wanted all the jars to match!  What You’ll Need:…

    Wallpaper in The Guest Room

Wallpaper can do wonders to a room. Seriously, I’m amazed by this gold speckled peel and stick wallpaper. I wanted to add some character to our guest bedroom by adding a little wallpaper to a wall. This DIY took an ordinary room and made it into a funky glamorous space!  It took me about two hours to do this wall. The more I did it, the faster I got. It really started speeding up in the end!  What I did: The wallpaper I used is a peel and stick. I cut it to size leaving a little room on the ends. Then peeled off the backing as I stuck it…

    DIY Pumpkin Painting

One of my favorite times of the year is fall. The cooler weather, the pretty home decor, cozy blankets, warm fires, and of course….pumpkin painting! If you’ve never painted pumpkins before, you have to try it this year. It’s so much fun and they blend perfectly with any home decor you may have whether it’s autumn OR Halloween.  In order to paint the pumpkins, all I do is paint them once and then again adding flour to the paint – the flour will help the paint “stick” to the pumpkins so you don’t have to worry about paint streaks or fading. I personally LOVE the color bone by Clark and Kensing which…

Easy Board and Batten DIY under $30

I am so excited about this project Aaron and I have been working on recently for our baby boy’s nursery! As many of you know, our entire home is being remodeled right now, so we’re trying to to save money where we can. We wanted to add a little texture to this wall without spending too much money and decided to go with a DIY board and batten! This is the wall we’re planning on putting his crib on, and to be honest… it’s a little bit awkward because the ceiling is so low in here! Despite the awkwardness, we wanted to add some character, so we got some 1×2 primed…

    DIY Bottle Brush Tree Forest

Is there anything more magical than a Christmas tree forest in your home? I had a vision of creating a festive bottle brush tree forest on wood to style our fireplace mantel, and Aaron and I made it come to life! I had to share this DIY bottle brush tree forest with you because it was so simple and inexpensive. Keep scrolling to learn how to do this project yourself! The gist of the project is super simple. Find a piece of wood you like, specifically focusing on the desired size, shape, color. We actually used reclaimed wood. It was originally wood on the top of an old desk! However, you…

    Fall Island Centerpiece

Hi, friends! It’s  fall and I’m so excited to share this beautiful centerpiece arrangement that sits beautifully on our kitchen island. For all you decorators out there, if you’re planning to make a centerpiece for fall this year, I totally suggest investing in a pretty vase. I personally invested in this large vase because I felt like the vase is a piece I’ll be using season to season, all year long! Inside the vase are stems! Stems like this are a great way to add a festive fall touch to any space. I used a combination of stems to add a variety and mixture to the centerpiece. Some I’ve had for years that are…

    DIY Pumpkin Garland

What you’ll need: (All of it’s linked!) Pumpkins Craft Twine  Sharpie (Optional) I wanted to add a little pumpkin garland to our fall mantel! I love all the festive things so why not add a few more pumpkins to the living room. With our mantel being black I decided to sharpie in a little black to these pumpkins but that’s totally optional. All I did was wrap the craft twine around base of the pumpkin stem. The stem on these pumpkins sorta lift up so it worked out perfectly. (If this didn’t work, I was fully prepared to break out my hot glue gun) I spaced each pumpkin on the…

Revamping an Old Frame – Fall Wall Art

I found this old painting at an antique store a few weeks ago. I loved the autumn scene with its beautiful blends of oranges, yellows and blues, however, the frame looked a little dull in my living room. I used Rub N Buff to brighten up the frame. Rub N Buff comes in so many beautiful shades. For this project I used the shade Antique Gold. It really gave that polished look that I love!  Below is the before picture of the antique frame before I used rub n buff!  BEFORE I just applied the Rub N Buff with my fingers and a craft brush along the detail. I love the character of…

    Photo Wall Art

What better wall art than pictures of your beautiful family? Whether it’s you and your fur baby or significant other or maybe you’ve got a million grandkids, those beautiful faces are sure to brighten your walls and heart! For a while I sadly got away from using pictures of us as decor in our home. So I decided to make up for that lost time in a big way! Poster size, babe!!  Yep, I had poster size pictures of me and Aaron printed! Of course I chose two of my favorite pictures. One of us taken for the GRAM in the garden with my iPhone and the other is a…
