The Holidays are here! We’re excited to enjoy turkey, dressing and pecan pie. We’re also so very excited to host my husband’s family for Thanksgiving dinner.? I wanted to share my Thanksgiving/Holiday table with YOU! This table is not limited to Thanksgiving. It could be used for Christmas or any Holiday party. Let’s start with the first layer. I used a table cloth from World Market to bunch around the center of our table. I chose this cloth because I loved the French style stripes. When my mom moved to Texas she left me an old wooden sleigh. I used mom’s sleigh as my base. Using the sleigh added height to…

    Flocked Trees from Walmart

As I’ve said before, Walmart has awesome tree game right now!! I spent many hours artificial tree shopping and Walmart had the best trees for the money. Let me show you a few!! The Pencil  Pencil trees look great in so many areas because they don’t require much space. For example; add a little festive decor in the foyer, dining room or bedroom with a tree like this 7ft Pre-Lit Tree from Walmart. Love it!   My Choice This is the tree I have in my living room now! It’s a 6ft flocked tree from Walmart also. ? Click to read more details about how I styled it! (HERE!)   BIG I’m LOVING…

    $30 Walmart Christmas Tree

Time for part 2 of my Christmas Tree Fail!!! (Click HERE to read) I’ve already mentioned we’re going to chop down a live tree to enjoy this Christmas but until then (since live trees don’t last forever ?) I needed a little something to begin the Holiday season. Who would have thought ol’ Wally World (Walmart) would come to the rescue?! On a side note –  Walmart has some major Christmas tree game. ? I left with a 6ft flocked tree for $30. WOAH! Once I got home I thought it was a little short and that I needed to elevate it a bit. So I grabbed an old galvanized bucket and wedged the tree base in the…

    Christmas Tree Fail ?

As a blogger, I have these mental visions of exactly how my home should look in every season. I begin planning months out for each season, holiday and event. I’m a planner by nature; nearly to a fault. I. Had. A. Vision. ? Late one September night, Christmas came to me. I saw this gorgeous green tree (To be specific the 9ft tree that was currently in my attic) and it was COVERED in tiny white lights. No ornaments, no sprays and no garland.?? Simply white lights. After explaining the goal for our Christmas tree to Aaron, he became concerned with the amount of light I had in mind for…

Spooky Flying Bats Dining Room Décor

Halloween is nearly here so I decided to play in the (fake) spider webs.? ? Honestly, this was my very first time decorating for Halloween and I had a blast! ? I was inspired to bring elements of the outdoors inside on this project. What I used – Tree Limbs (Our backyard) Clear Fishing Wire Finishing Nails Fake Spider Webs  (Target Dollar Spot) Paper Bats (World Market)   What I did- We hung tree limbs from our ceiling with clear fish wire and finishing nails. Our goal was to make the tree limbs to look abstract around the chandelier. Next, I intertwined the fake white spider webs into the tree limbs.…

    The Fall Mantel

Has anyone had enough of the pumpkins yet?? Nope, not me! ?? Also, let me begin by saying I got a little inspiration for this mantel from Liz Marie.☝?Gotta give credit where credit is due! BTW  – She’s one of my favorite people. Ever. Here’s what I did! The large vintage chalkboard was already there. It was an antique store find from a few months ago.? I began by stacking/laying terra cotta planting pots around the mantel. As I mentioned in a previous blog, I found these old pots in a shed at an estate sale. Since then, I’ve spotted some at thrift stores as well. Yet again, I used…

    My Fall Dining Room

Autumn is my absolute favorite season!? I love everything about it; Apple cider, sweaters, mums and of course pumpkins. It’s no surprise I’ve been planning my fall décor since the 4th of July. In the dining room, I wanted to embrace wood tones while showcasing white pumpkins! ? Here’s what I did – The BIG Bowl This dough bowl serves as the anchor/base of the whole vignette. I purchased my large antique dough bowl from a local antique store. If you don’t spot dough bowls from your local antique shop, you can find them on Etsy. Our farm table is huge so I had to opt for the largest dough bowl I could…

    Easy Farm Table Centerpiece

No doubt, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite movie. Belle is my favorite Disney princess because I totally relate to her nerdiness. ? My brain works in strange ways. The inspiration for this farm table centerpiece actually came from the movie Beauty and the Beast.   Inspiration can come through the oddest ways in the world of Karlee. ? My thoughts were to gather items in a basket for a French dinner party. Combine it with a little galvanized farmhouse and “BAM” you’ve got a French farmhouse vignette. Here’s how I did it – I started with the basket. I grabbed my favorite white metal basket, which I found…
