Office Nook Pulled Together
I’m so excited to share my simple office space with you today. In this midst of our home remodel, I really needed a quiet place to focus in all the chaos, so I created this little office space in my room. Best part? I created this cozy space with items I already had laying around. You can make a nice space with truly little to no effort at all. I had the perfect little vintage desk in another room of our home. I brought it down to this space and the chippy white paint adds perfect character to this space. Whoever says “chippy white” is out of style, I disagree… It’s a…

Revamping an Old Frame – Fall Wall Art
I found this old painting at an antique store a few weeks ago. I loved the autumn scene with its beautiful blends of oranges, yellows and blues, however, the frame looked a little dull in my living room. I used Rub N Buff to brighten up the frame. Rub N Buff comes in so many beautiful shades. For this project I used the shade Antique Gold. It really gave that polished look that I love! What to look for at Yard Sales and Junk Stores Right Now
It’s that time of year when the air is warm and yard sales are happening. It’s one of the most wonderful times of the season. Honestly, I like to make a day of my yard sale adventures and hit up all of the “junk” shops after pumping my breaks at each yard sale in town. Right now, these are the items I’m looking for at yard sales and junk shops! Watering Cans You’ll likely notice a trend with this post, my mind is on outdoor items. Vintage watering cans are one of my favorite finds, but sometimes they are hard to find so you’ve got to hunt! It seems I…

Q & A – DIY Range Hood
We’ve had lots of questions about our DIY Range Hood in the kitchen! This is something we’ve wanted to replace for years but didn’t think about building it ourselves. Before this project their was a microwave in this space above our stove. This project was TOTALLY worth it and brought so much warmth to our kitchen. Here’s a few Q & A’s we’ve gotten about the whole process! Q – Does it work? A – YASSS! Q – How much did you spend? A – Ha, are we talking time or money?! Money – we spent about $75 on the materials. Time – it took us a weekend. Q –…

Save Money – MAKE YOUR OWN LATTE
I’ve been going to Starbucks for YEARS. Spending $5 here and $5 there and it’s always been the way I’ve got my coffee fix. Until I learned something. One evening I asked Aaron while he was leaving work and asked him to grab me a latte on the way home. We live 20 minutes from town and I still had a ton of work to do that night. Ugh,I didn’t catch him in time. And then he surprised me with, “I can make you one when I get home.” What??? I had NO idea he knew how to do this.. Why has he been keeping this a secret? Well, the…
